Matt Cates here, reader, writer, and regular joe working the 12-hour days, raising the family–the whole 9.  And in the spaces between, sweating to get my book picked up.  The Crimson Web of War was written as a screenplay during my MFA in Creative Writing program at National U, CA, then later novelized for my thesis.  I polished her up and buffed her off and now she’s ready to sell.  As I wait to hear back from my initial query, I continue to write short stories and have begun an exciting follow-up novel, Slaves to the Vein.

This blog is updated infrequently only because my time is so severly limited.  However, I’ll continue to try and preach the gospel of the Crimson Web while cutting down on all the pissing and moaning I’ve done here on occasion.  I’m still only human, after all…

Mc!
